The Czech team headed by Kristián Hynek is recruiting a new member to its ranks. It is thirty-one-year-old Swiss marathon rider Marc Stutzman, a former member of the Texpa Simplon team.
Team Canyon Northwave enters the 2023 season stronger. Martin Stošek, Andreas Seewald, Petr Vakoč and Stefanie Dohrn are joined by an experienced racer from Switzerland - Mark Stutzmann. A two-time medalist from the Swiss championship or winner of a marathon series specializes in marathon races. He strengthens the team with the vision of not only personal successes, but also team successes. In the very first peak of the season, he will be the key support of the Stošek/Seewald duo at the legendary Cape Epic stage race.
I am excited and proud to represent the Canyon Northwave team in the new season. I can't wait for the first races," Marc said briefly about his new engagement.
"I am very happy that Marc is becoming a member of our team. Marc is an excellent racer and I believe he has further potential for performance growth. We will do our best, together with our partners, to provide the conditions for this growth. At the same time, it makes our team a little more international. I'm already looking forward to the first races of the season, starting in 1 week in Spain."
The last race of the 2023 Marathon World Cup took place in Snowshoe, USA. Martin Stošek took 6th place in the demanding race, Marc Stutzmann was 7th and Andreas Seewald finished 12th.
In the third race of the UCI Mountain Bike Marathon World Cup Andreas Seewald takes the bronze medal.In the 100-kilometer race, he was not only able to beat the winning Colombian Leonardo Paez and the second Italian Diego Rosa. Marc Stutzmann finished in 15th position, Stefanie Dohrn did not finish the race and Martin Stošek did not start the race due to illness.
The third race of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup takes place on Saturday, September 16 in Morzine, France. Canyon Northwave MTB Team enters the race in full line-up, starting Martin Stošek, Marc Stutzmann, Stefanie Dohrn and Andreas Seewald.
