In the third race of the UCI Mountain Bike Marathon World Cup Andreas Seewald takes the bronze medal.In the 100-kilometer race, he was not only able to beat the winning Colombian Leonardo Paez and the second Italian Diego Rosa. Marc Stutzmann finished in 15th position, Stefanie Dohrn did not finish the race and Martin Stošek did not start the race due to illness.
The elite men started in Morzine, France, on Saturday, September 16, at 8:00 a.m. Andreas Seewald was in the lead from the start, after two hours he had a minor crisis, but then he managed to recover and at the finish he took bronze. For the first time, he stood on the podium in the newly established XCM World Cup.
"From the start I felt great and I believed it would be good. Then Marc and I had a crisis, but I was able to recover on the hill and got to the podium, which I maintained. I'm very happy that it worked out, even though I didn't have the best ride today," Andreas commented on the race.
The race did not go well for Marc Stutzmann, who finished in 15th position. Due to illness, Martin Stošek did not start, but according to his words, he should be fine soon. Stefanie Dohrn also had a bad day, as she did not finish the race.
The next race of the World Cup in the marathon takes place in 9 days, in Snowshoe, USA. The Canyon Northwave team will be represented by Marc Stutzmann, Andreas Seewald and Martin Stošek.

One of the most successful weeks is behind the Canyon Northwave MTB Team. Martin Stošek together with Marc Stutzmann won the Swiss Epic stage race. On Saturday, August 19, Andreas Seewald and Stefanie Dohrn won the prestigious Swiss Grand Raid marathon.
