The Czech Marathon Championship will take place in the traditional venue of the Czech Cup - in Machov in northern Bohemia. The track is 68 kilometers long with an elevation of over 2,200 meters. Martin Stošek will start as one of the favorites of the race.

"I am looking forward to the Czech Championship. I've only raced once since Cape Epic. After Epic I had one week of rest, I also had a illness, but then it was good. Then I started to train and the performance was not bad, even in the first race it was not bad, but after two hours my shoulder popped out and I did not finish the race. I discussed it with the doctors, I had more of a rest week and gradually returned to training. The preparation was not ideal, but I think there is no reason for me to be afraid of the racing, it looks good in training now. I'm quite looking forward to the races again, we'll see how it goes, "says Martin, who took silver at the Czech Championship last year.

Petr Vakoč is also preparing for the Czech Championship. He finished seventh at the Czech Championship last year and undoubtedly wants to improve his position. In Machov he has already been to ride the track, fine-tuning his form and hoping for success.

Saturday, April 29, will belong to the international part of Canyon Northwave Team. Swiss Marc Stutzmann and German Andreas Seewald together with team manager Kristián Hynek went to Italy, where they will start the Garda Trentilno race as part of the Riva del Garda Bike Festival. There is an extreme track of 82 kilometers with an elevation of less than 3,500 metres.

The following week, the other half of the team will also move to Italy. Competitors can look forward to another prestigious event - the Capoliveri Legend Cup on Elba. Immediately afterwards, the whole team with Stefanie Dohrn will move to the Czech Republic, where they will take part in the first race of the World Cup in the marathon on May 13.
